Jason Patrick Jenkins was born and raised in Newfoundland, Canada and he has practiced internationally in Canada, the US, and South Korea, for over 20 years. He began his studies with a 4 year Bachelors in Fine Art from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2001, and more recently added 4 more years of study in the Advanced Fine Art Program of Studio Incamminati in Philadelphia, where he is currently on Faculty, contributes to curriculum development, and teaches human anatomy. He is also on Faculty at The Abington Art Center, The Wayne Art Center, Mastrius.com, and Art Escape Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. His methodology is a fusion of the Florentine, Venetian, and Dutch schools, employed with a contemporary Impressionist Palette. He currently holds Associate Living Master status with the Art Renewal Center. His work and his method have been detailed extensively in Fine Art Today, Fine Art Connoisseur, and International Artist Magazine. He has been recognized in multiple national and international juried contests, and he has been awarded a grant from the Stobart Foundation. Most recently Jason’s work has begun to explore imaginative realism as a means to address mental health awareness and psychological and philosophical aspects of the human condition, which manifested in a major presentation and demonstration on Rendering Convincing Anthropomorphic Figures at The 2024 Annual National Illustrator’s Convention (Illuxcon) in Reading, PA.
